Last Week
Taio Cruz stormed to the top of the singles chart last Sunday, giving the UK it's 8th different chart topper in a row. Taio's last experience at #1 was back in September 2009 with 'Break Your Heart'. Eminem & Rihanna's 'Love The Way You Lie' spent a third straight week at #2 in what's fast becoming a story of 'always the bridesmaid and never the bride'. Flo Rida & David Guetta was a non mover at #3 ahead of Roll Deep at #4 and the week's second highest new entry at #5 from Katy B.
In a week of plenty of new entries, other debuts came from Brandon Flowers (#7), Rumer (#14), Aggro Santos (#18), Hurts (#22), Ke$ha (#28), Stromae (#34), The Pretty Reckless (#36) & Biffy Clyro (#39).
On the Albums rundown, Eminem's 'Recovery' returned to the top to make it 8 weeks at #1 in it's 10 week chart reign. Plan B's 'Defamation of Strickland Banks' was at #2 ahead of last weeks #1 from Iron Maiden. Debuts came from Klaxons (#7), Eels (#12) & Bay City Rollers (#15).
Next WeekWill we have a 9th new #1 in a row next weekend? New entries are due from Olly Murs, Beyoncé, Kanye West & Katy Perry whilst Albums come from Kano, Katy Perry & The Pretty Reckless.
Who will be #1 next Sunday? Tune in from 4pm to find out!
