It's true, you actually can't get rid of me! I know at the end of last summer I announced the last show to be my last ever on air but I guess I was just lying! I will be on air every Thursday night once again (10-midnight now) to bring back your weekly dose of rock, everything from light cheese (we're talking Bryan Adams here) the whole way to some Finnish trash metal (which is actually very good, trust me!) and of course a return of my random chat and some all new features. Decided the old ones are officially old enough to have kids and a mortgage by now so they had to be retired... Tune in on Thursday 3rd to see what the new ones are about!
Anyway, my show on Thursday. It's going to be interesting to say the least. My computer has become illergic to any form of Microsoft program so I'm now running the wonderful (and free!) Linux, however this does create a little problem... No broadcast software works! Argh! So I will be attempting to plan all the show on my Linux machine then transfer the databases of music and other assorted rubbish to my dads house and get his pc set up in time for the show... Cutting it fine? Definitly! If anyone would like to donate money to the Paul Crooks New Hard Drive Fund, feel free :D
I suppose I should tell you all a little about what I've actually been doing for the last year of my life shouldn't I? Now's the time to go grab yourself a cup of tea methinks, we could be here a while. Well, I have just finished my second year at Warwick university where I'm studying Physics. The year nearly killed me! Between countless exams, coursework, lab reports (never mind hours of lab) and maybe a little drinking I haven't had time to think for the last year! Oh that and a university ski trip, 500 of us hit the slopes in Austria for a week (if you haven't been skiing, you really must! Best holiday you can have) which pretty much involved lots of alchol and skiing (i.e. high speed falls, ouch!) and various fancy dress parties (if you have Facebook and are bored, I'm sure you'll find my pimp suit) .
I think that's about it for now, I'll let you people go for a while!
